Staying at CARE-FEPEX

CARE-FEPEX can provide accomodation just a few hundred meters from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Please note that this is a dormitory, and you may have to share the space with other students/interns/PhD candidates. As we host people from different cultures and backgrounds, we usually have to assign men and women to separate rooms.

The dormitories are accessible 24/7. They comply with the internal regulations of the University of Liège, with additional emphasis on harmonious communal living: no overly noisy activities after 10:00 p.m. (e.g., loud music, animated discussions, etc.). While this is stated in the university's internal rules, we would like to stress that smoking indoors is strictly prohibited.

You will have access to a kitchen, bathroom, washing machine, and laundry detergent, all included in the rent. We can also provide sheets and blankets upon request, with a minimum of 48 hours' notice. The overall comfort level is comparable to that of a decent youth hostel.

The fee is €6 (VAT included) per night, from your arrival date to your departure date. This means that all nights between these dates are charged, even if you happen to sleep elsewhere during part of the stay.

For stays shorter than two months, payment is required in advance. Payments should be made via bank transfer. If bank transfers are not possible from your home country,  please contact us to discuss alternatives.

Please note that cleaning is carried out once a week; however, this does not include dishwashing or cleaning kitchen utensils. As in a youth hostel, residents are expected to maintain the shared areas in a clean and orderly state..

To request a booking, please send the following documents and informations (in French or English) to lmartinelle@uliege.be, once completed :

- Exact dates of your expected stay (arrival and departure);

- Contact details of the person supervising your internship here at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine;

- Customer creation file, which allows us to register you as a client of the University of Liège;

- Property Rental Certificate , confirming that you will not engage in any commercial activity during your stay—this helps us apply a reduced VAT rate and keep the overall cost affordable;

- (Optional) If you require a visa to enter and stay in Belgium, you will find a blank Housing Certificate. Please complete it and return it to us; we will then send you a signed version.
